Please help us find a kidney donor for Roger. In need of blood type O for transplant at Vanderbilt, Nashville TN. This page has been created to reach out to those who may and have already considered being a live kidney donor. We are asking to help save the life of my nephew Roger Mims who suddenly had to rely on dialysis to live over 6yrs ago. Roger is 40yrs old and has been living as a diesel mechanic since high school as he can no longer perform those tasks. His blood type is O and he resides in Nashville, TN. Roger discovered he needed a kidney 4/08 caused by hypertension and PKD. After suffering heart failure, he remained hospitalized for 3 mos. He was able to stay off dialysis with a proper diet for one year. Now he has dialysis 3x a week, 5 hrs a stay.
Roger is currently registered in Nashville, Tennessee at Vanderbilt University Hospital.
